Rust Bullet Question

Post by CO684X4 »

I am looking at ordering Rust bullet for my truck today. Just have one question though. I want to go with the Rust Bullet Black Shell. Now my question is can this be used by itself or does it need to be used as a top coat over the regular rust bullet? From my understanding it can be used by itself

no it doesnt need to be used to top the regular rust bullet. In the description I think it says can be applied over painted or unpainted surfaces. though i think you would get better protection from coating over regular rust bullet.I hope that answers your question

Yes it can be used by itself. It has UV protection. Por 15 doesn't.

it should work great! That is what I will be using. Just remember it is all in the prep work. Personally I am going to have my frame sandblasted to get rid of the rust. Then I am going to hit the whole thing in some metal prep/degreaser.

I was thinking 2 or 3 quarts. I will be spraying it with an HVLP gun. Want to do the core support, inner fenders, under cab, under bed, frame, axle housings, radius arms and all the brackets that bolt to the frame.
