Shave door handles?

Post by oldschoolrods »

So this idea has been floatin around in my head for a while now, should I shave the door handles on my truck or leave em. If anyone has done this can you post a pic so I can see what it looks like. Thanks.

I say leave 'em. But I love the look of these old trucks just as they are.

I voted leave em because ilike the look of the handles on these trucks. I know I plan on shaving the antenna and putting a roll pan and smoothing the tailgate as well as relocating the tailgate handle to the inside of the bed.

Wow I'm actually kinda suprised no one is voting for shaved. I guess the handles will be staying, I think the antenna is gonna go though.

the handles just have great classic truck styleing and no matter how crazy custom you want to get with the rest of your truck they will still look good and fit in with what ever else you decide to do to it. i say leave'em.

I'd say that the styling of the stock door handles is too fine to alter them; they're real works of art as-is.

Well since you already decided to keep them I will add one more vote for keeping them, like everyone else said they just look great on this truck, I think it would take alot away from this already beautiful truck.

I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

Shaving the door handles means removing the handles, welding a plate in over the whole, and installing an electronic opener to pop the door open. I've kinda always wanted to do it but I think that will wait for something else and keep the handles on this truck
