As stated, bondo, applied correctly should be no more than 1/4 in. The keyword is correctly. I've seen 1/2 in plus repairs that looked great from 25 ft. You can make unique application body tools out of the damnedst things if you step way out of the box. Watched a guy repair a keg, to be used as a fuel tank, using what was a 12" nail of some sort, heated & bent to reach inside said keg Worked it as a bump dolly,and the results are nothing short of fantastic

yeah, its rediculous when you see a truck with an inch of filler.
if that much filler HAS to be used, then you should use Fiberglass filler corrrect?

I think if that much filler needs to be used, then maybe a little hammer and dolly treatment is in order.

I am going to keep this quote train going. I know I got really POed at the PO when I found the entire passenger side of my Bumps bed is full of bondo. I understand quick repairs if you are running low on cash but you got to warn people about it.
