351M to 302????
I recently purchased a 71 F100 with a straight 6. I am in the middle of swapping my body over to a 79 frame for the power steering, disc brakes etc. It has a running 351M on it. Ideally I want to convert to a 5.0L out of a fox body Mustang. Any tips would be much appreciated. Im curious about the wiring harness. Can You buy a harness for a 5.0L that will work with my truck?

You should be able to since the truck could have been bought new with a 302.
I have never bought a new harness, I just build/modify/repair what I have. Unless you are planning efi there really isn't much to the underhood wiring.

Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

WB,
Isn't the bolt patterns on the tranny different from the 302 to the 351M?

My 79' that I had for 10 years already had the "M" pulled out and a 302 put in it when I got it.
