I saw a 69 today at the local pick and pull that had a ford saginaw PS gear and what I am pretty sure was a stock, original "short" 3 speed power steering column.
Bad news is that someone, took the top shift assembly allready. But the tubes, firewall bracket, shift arms etc were all there.
Now, I have no use for the stuff and I was tired so I didn't want to pull it. But I seem to recal that these short 3 speed columns that can be used with the longer Ford Saginaw box are rare.
Any one know how much just the lower parts might be worth? These are the parts that have to be shortened -- and these are already the correct length etc.
I am not looking to make money, but if this is a rare part, I'd try and get back over there before they are crushed.
FWIW-- Its the pick and pull on Truman Road here in KC. If someone else wants it and is here in the KC area, have at it.
Availability and value of 3 speed column for power steering?
