flushing brake line-1972 ford f350 1 ton-dual axle

i have torn down the brake system and will replace all components.
what is best way to flush the lines, i have been told to put paint thinner in the master cylinder and pump the thinner through the lines?

any suggestions, i want to clean the lines before putting in new fluid the truck has been sitting for a year now

WRONG. If you need to flush the lines do it with denatured alcohol. let flash dry & assemble your new stuff.

I am thinkin' since de nature of de alcohol is to get de drunk, it must be da kind ya rub on yer body and not drink... right ???

Why wouldn't ya just pump brake fluid thru the lines until it comes out clean ??? That's what I do...

I'd be curious to see other answers on this as well...
I am planning on replacing my front wheel cylinders...

Denatured (rubbing) alcohol will dissolve & carry off most of the funk growing inside the lines, without attacking any of the rubber pieces. Almost acts as a solvent.

so how do ya do it ????

Rubbing alcohol removes and grease oil and esp water from brake parts. use it like solvent wash the parts let air dry. We used by the gallons b4 brake clean.

So to flush out the lines you'd just fillup the MC, open the bleeder valves and pump the heck outta the pedal till it's gone or what ?

The reason I ask is because I'm going to be replacing the front WC's and want to flush the lines before putting them on.
