new '68 project
New to this great site, but been looking and lurking for a while- Doing up a '68 wellside as we call them here in Oz- she's going back to bare metal shortly and amongst the mods are-stroked (383) Cleveland-CHI 2V heads-MSD Ignition system hand built tri-ys, pumping out 550 +HP - TKO 500 Tremac box -9"Rear end, and a very understanding wife and good bank Manager . Have been(and still am) doing my homework on this project for about two years and this site and its members have unknowingly been a great help- so a big thankyou to you all.

Welcome mate!
Kick back, relax, have a Darwin stubbie , and ask any questions that come to mind. Though they tend to yabber and appear up a gum tree
at times, the guys in this forum have pulled my underdacks out of the fire more then once. A lot of knowledge here.

re: new '68 project
Thanks for the welcome people, yep have lots of pic's just have to work out how to get them onto this site-not that savvy with the old computer.
Everything over here is Right Hand drive, the same as NZ (my homeland) and the trucks do vary slightly to what you have in the States and Canada, but still most parts are interchangeable, and I have got a swag of stuff though Dennis Carpenter and Dakota digital in the States. The old girl is de-registered and in bits at the moment awaiting her birthday(rebuild) Although I'm adding lots of goodies to her my intention is that she looks standard externally ,except ,I'm investigating lowering her by about 3" front and 4" in the rear. I have removed the fuel tank from inside(fumes) and slinging one from a Ford Courier underneath- 98% of the(new) wiring will be funnelled along chassis rails and internal cab channeling, and a cabinet will be built behind the seat to house the fuse holder and relays. Will work out the photo 'thing' and post as I go along. I can send photos via email if anyone is interested- until I work things out. Once again thanks for the welcome.
Wayne.
