2" or 1.75" diameter x 0.120" thick side walls.

Those are not drawings, those are full 3D models. :)

rjewkes,
2wd is more of a challenge :D it wont be seeing any baja races or any races at all, it will see a nice long beach with some dunes :D

now what type of structure/supports would be best?
is the one in the original 69' picture ok?

4x4 is just more drag in sand and more unsprung weight in the front.

In the 73 Bronc in my avatar pic on 36" cut boggers it'll pull the steepest bowls 20-30 MPH faster in 2wd VS locking the front hubs in. There's a night and day difference.

Ryan, from what you describe doing with your truck don't put a cage in it. If it's going to be a nice truck don't destroy it. Get a $200 beater and a case of spray paint for that kind of thing.

you guys dont give up do you lol
ive always wanted a prerunner, this truck with slight mods would be awesome on a beach/dunes.
the roll bar assembly can be made at my work (welding shop). the holes that will be made can be patched whenever. i highly doubt the truck will be rolled. the suspension mods dont include cutting or welding unless i extend the radius arms and scoot the radius arm bracket back. everything else will be stock with maybe a skid plate up front.

if your wanting a dune truck build it from a tube frame and bolt bumpside parts onto that. that is the real way to go. that is how prerunners are made.

Just a thpough on fitting the camper over either a shorter camper bet yours could easily be shortened or how about some of those reciever hitch pins? one on each side that would allow the top loop to be removed?
