Post by 1968_ONEHUN »

Hi guys,I have a fomoco manual steering box on my 68.Was wondering if it is interchangeable with either a saginaw or fomoco power steering box.Is it a direct bolt in I guess I need to know????/

The Saginaw box will bolt on in place of your manual box, but because it's two inches longer, your steering column will be pushed up into the cab two inches farther. You'd need to also get the column (or at least the column shaft) from a PS-equipped truck. For more information, read How to Install Power Steering in 2WD '67-'72 Ford Pickups.
