67 brake booster

Post by SteveC »

OK sorry for having so many questions to ask i feel stupid but How hard is it to install a booster for my 67 4 drum brakes. Im sure that even with a booster this rolling tank would stop a little better. Im pretty sure that i need to still bleed my brakes cause not only is the light on but today i started off driving with a hard pedal that would stop me fairly good by the time i got home i was having to pump the pedal several time till it got hard again to stop me safely. Is this a system that needs to be bled better??
Iknow that disks are better but for my budget right know power drums may be better in my price range and something i could do in a afternoon.

What do i need to have to add on just a booster for 4 drums...the booster, the bracket for it to the firewall, and the knowelage of were to hook the vacuum line to the manifold.

Thanks for helping me out so much all the time

the vacuum comes from the passenger side of the intake to the rear of the carb should be a vacuum tree to hook the vacuum from.

Hey Steve, I installed a booster on my 67 and it was very easy. Here is my earlier post http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... ght=master
