Wheels and tires

Post by mljjones67 »

Ok guys just wanted to make sure on the size of the lug spacing on the f-250's. If I remember right anything 1990 and earlier will fit. Right???? I will be going with 17" or 18" rims.

thanks

Thought it was 98 and earlier? In 99 Ford went metric.

I thought it was later than that too...

Anybody know for sure? I have to get some wheels for mine as well and am on the fence about aftermarket or good factory steelies.

For the eight bolt wheels, '97 is the cut off. The superduty uses metric and came out in '98. The F250/350 stayed old style one model year longer than the F150.

Hey guys, I'm new to the site but couldn't help jumping in here. I just bought my '69 Camper Special the other day and it still has the original 16" split rims on it. I was told at a local wrecking yard that '97 and older F250s and Dodge 3/4 & 1 tons thru today will work on my truck. Any truth to this?

I have one or two 8 lug dodge steel wheels on my 72 F250. Unless you have them off and can look real close at them, you can't tell them apart.

I don't know what year they are from.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. Any chance that my original split rim wheels would be worth anything to anyone looking to do an accurate restoration?
