i was just wondering what is the difference between the 2wd and the 4wd suspensions. and if it was possible to modify a 4wd to fit a 2wd.

The 1/2 tons are sort of similiar, but the F-250 4x4 is very different from the 2wd's.

What exactly do you mean modify a 4wd to fit a 2wd?

When converting a 2wd to 4x4 the biggest obstacle is the 2wd engine crossmember. The 4x4's don't have this and you'll see very clearly why they don't when you get into it.

Basically, there's a whole lot of fabrication involved to make a 2wd into a 4x4 or you can swap the 2wd body onto a 4x4 frame, far easier.

im really not interested into making it 4wd i just want to lift it to look like a 4wd. so i basically want to buy i 4wd suspension and put it on my 2wd

If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...
