Brake bleeding Question

Ok so today i'm going to install the hopefully right master cylinder. my question is since my brakes need to be bled anyway, should i still bench bleed the master cylinder?
I remember doing this long ago, i figure i have air in my lines anyway.

Yes. It is always a good idea to bench bleed the master. Once you have it in the truck. I would bleed it again then bleed all 4 corners.

Yes, I second that! I use a #2 Phillips to bench bleed my new master cylinders while carefully holding the master cylinder still on the ground or on another sturdy flat surface. If I had a vise on a bench I'd use that to hold the master cylinder, but, oh well, it works.

You can leave the bleeders and hoses in the outlet ports and reserviors on the master cylinder while you carefully install the master cylinder on the truck. Then remove them one at a time and hook the lines up to it.

Then, like CO684X4 said bleed the entire system.

After bench bleeding and installing the master cylinder I bleed my brakes by myself. It's easy, and doesn't take long.

I take a piece of vacuum tubing that fits tight on the back of the bleeder valve(s) on the wheel cylinders. I put about 1 inch of clean brake fluid in the bottom of a glass soda bottle, place the lower end of the vacuum tubing into the brake fluid, open the bleeder valve and start running the brake pedal to the floor and back up until I see no bubbles in the bottle. Naturally I check the master cylinder's fluid level constantly while I am doing this.

If I need to I empty the bottle of bled brake fluid into my oil drain pan and continue around the vehicle.

I do the farthest wheel cylinder first and move around until the last one (the shortest line) is done.

When all four are bubble-free, I'm done.
