Power Steering Cooler

Post by bandit76 »

Recently I converted my 69 F-100 to Bendix power steering. I have read that it best to install a transmission cooler for a Bendix. The radiator in my truck has a transmission cooler at the bottom that not being used. I wanted to know does anyone see a problem with using this instead of a external transmission cooler?

The PS return line (low pressure) is the one you put the cooler on. I found mine on the grouns in a salvage yard.

you don't need something big or even high pressure. Mine is 8" long and 3" tall. Not big at all. I just used rubber hose and hose clamps.
