I just bought this truck and I am wondering if anyone can tell if these are the stock wheels? The guy I bought this from said it came to him with some rice burner wheels with bald tires and a set in the bed that is now on the truck.

re: Stock wheels?
These are the wheels that came on my buddies 68. They are now on my truck because he didn't like them. I cleaned them up and painted them, probably not the correct white. Got the brand new tires for free also.

In the 60s I believe Ford date stamped their wheels in a similar fashion that they date stamped their engines and other cast engine and driveline parts.
In the one picture of your wheel I can see what looks like an M in one section between the lugnut holes, in another section of the wheel I can see a 27 and in another I can see what looks like K and 1 and 89. I am thinking the K 1 and 89 would be the date code for the wheel if I am actually seeing the stamp correctly (K=10th month or October, the 1=the 1st day of the month and the 89=1989).
In the 60s I believe Ford used the digit of the year and the letter from the month.
