Greetings from California!
Hey there fellow bumpsters... this is a great site. So glad I found it BEFORE I went out and bought my truck!
After searching for 3 or 4 years for the right truck (after I foolishly sold ol' Gus - my '72 F250 CS) - I've finally found the one I've been searching for. She's a rust-free, dent-free, 93k original miles '69 F250 Ranger CS .
Sure, she needs a few things here & there, but I can't wait to dote on her a little. She's sporting a 390/C6 powertrain, and has all the options one could ask for: A/C, P/S, P/B, the big Ford mirrors, the heavy duty Ford tow bumper, etc etc... and she's all stock, with the exception of some nice chrome rims and a chrome air cleaner.
It has been tough finding the right combination of work truck and sunday driver. I wanted something that I'd be proud to drive in our little local 4th of July parade, but still not so purty that I'd be afraid to scratch it up bringing home a load of lumber.
I have to thank all the knowledgeable folk here on these boards - you really helped me define my 'ideal'. I'm looking forward to learning more about these beautiful old trucks and adding to the discussions!
Cheers!

Hey Ryan, I work up north, past Sac - I'll keep an eye out for those two bumpies when I'm up there.
