New Guy from SC.

Post by Dave68 »

I have been lurking around for about 2 weeks now. I just bought a 1968 F100 that had a 360 and three on the tree originally. The last owner converted to a 390 and C6. The motor is smoking so it will be coming out. I am looking into going over to a 300. I just can't seem to find one in any junkyards around here. I have learned a lot so far. I will continue searching and learning from this website.

Welcome Dave
Good luck on your endevor. There is a ton of knowledge and if you are in the right area some even willing to lend a helping hand. Now as for the 300 why not consider a later model they are out there.

Dave68,

:wel: from the bottom of the world, (Florida)! :D

Hey, I spent a couple of years stationed in the Charleston area of South Carolina. There's gotta be some bone yards left there somewhere to get a decent 300/6 from?

Yea, they are starting to come out of the woodwork. A lot of the boneyards here I think just used them for scrap!! What part of central Fl. I lived in Orlando for a few years when I went to UCF. I am originally from Vero Beach.
