Just a dad

Post by 1971fordsdad »

I am 1971FORD's dad (in case you couldn't figure it out from my nick) I really appreciate all the help you guys give my son with his truck. Sometimes I think he spends WAY to much time on this site but today I was looking at his before and after pics and couldn't believe the difference. I had forgotten how bad it looked when he got it. He is doing a great job restoring this truck just how he wants it and 95% of the money is coming out of his own wallet. Nothing like a paper route to teach a kid about money. Oh, and he has a 3.3 GPA so far in high school. Now if I could just get him to clean his room. But seriously, thanks for all the help everybody gives us both, saves lots of time.

Ryan seems to be a great kid. He shows no fear in jumping in and trying anything. More then once on a truck project I have thought to myself, "If a 13 year old can do it...."

Thanks for letting him hang out with us Ford nuts.

1971ford'sdad,

:wel: from Florida.

Ryan seems like one heck of a kid.
One to be proud of for sure. Not too many kids like him left anymore, (who would take the initiative to do what he's doing with his truck)!

Good to have ya' onboard.

Hi and welcome from Pennsylvania. :hi: Lots of nice folks here and Ryan sure is one of them. Of course it does help when he's getting good guidance at home. :)

As far as the room cleaning thing goes, well, if I ever figure out how to get my daughter to clean hers I'll pass it along.

Enjoy the site. :D

Welcome aboard, your sons enthusiasm is contagious, his posts have given me lots of ideas as well. I think it would be fun to work with my dad on my first vehicle and no better vehicle than a Ford Truck.

Welcome 1971ford'sdad

Ryan seems to be a good kid, he's been learning some good stuff here and from you

He talks a lot about how much you help him with getting parts from the yards and building the outside cover, etc, etc...

He could be hanging out in a LOT worse places!

Glad your here to keep him honest

With 2 bumps now it will keep you both busy :P
