Tie rod seal retainer?

Post by mnagatani »

Ok, I need some help trying to locate this part. According this catalog, its called a tie rod seal retainer. Located between the drag link and inner tie rod. Its no longer available. I've called the local parts stores and they seem to have no clue. Any help. When I removed mine, it seemed to be a rubber material with a metal liner. Thanks for the help. Check out the picture located "N"

It's dark, so I can't go outside and look, but just rebuilt my front end and I believe this rubber washer thing and metal thing came in my Moog parts with the tie rod, you might check webcites for chain parts stores. They can also order them and if you don't want it, they can return it, no cost. I don't believe you can buy just the parts, think you have to buy whole tie rod end??? But, you could probably find something very similar at any old time hardware store maybe?? Banjo.

Thanks for the reply. You guys are correct. I went to my local Kragens and he looked up the inner tie rod end and saw that the rubber seal does come with the tie rod! So I ended buying the tie rod--probably needed to be replaced anyways. Again, thanks for the replys.
