1973 Disc Brakes transfer to 1972???

Post by mrtleavitt »

I just came across a 1973 F100 with disk brakes in a junk yard. Will they swap to my 1972 F100 without problems? The main thing I'm guessing is if the spindles are different. If they do cross over, what all should I take off of it? Master cylinder, booster, brake lines?

You're in luck, our main man Keith has done all the research for us. Check out the following.

I found a '73 with the disc brakes at u-pull it but
It may be a bit too ambitious for me to grab all
those parts much less install it on my '71. I wonder
if it's still sitting there or been crushed. I got the
windshield and trim out of it though. ;)
