Tires for 67 f-250 4x2
I am going to be buying new tires for the 4x2 and was wondering what is the best looking size to buy? I will be using stock 16.5 rims with the hubcaps. I would like them a little larger and wider. It has bias ply 9.50 on there now with split rims. i will clean up the rims and paint them cream or off white then polish the hubcaps. Any pics and tires size suggestions will be appreciated!

From what I understand the 16" is too small for the front disc brakes. i will be converting to the disks soon. I would really like to go to 17". But I thought it would be cool to have the stock look. thanks

I'm afraid you won't have as many size choices in 16.5s as you will 16s. Do you have the big hd disc brakes ? I think the 16 will fit regular duty brakes.
You are correct a 16" rim will not clear HD disc caliper.

Not sure whats on my grandpa truck. All I know right now is they are disks. Whats the difference? Just the size? Do they look different? Thanks all for the reply.
I guess it would be easiest to just find some 17" if they make them for the old 8 lug pattern.

all the trucks with factory disk brakes (HD or not) had 16" rims. Most were 16x7".mljjones67 wrote:From what I understand the 16" is too small for the front disc brakes. i will be converting to the disks soon. I would really like to go to 17". It must be those specific aftermartket rims. Those are pretty standard ford calipers, tha same calipers used on 76-77 highboys and 78-79 F250 snowfighter D60s the stock 16" rims clear them fine. so Do "modern" and "American Racing" 16" aluminum rims
