Ok just curious..I have a 1979 automatic steering column out of what I beleive is a 150. I have a 1968 manual steering column in the truck now. My question is this.. are the columns them self the same size? and could I swap out the parts? I dont like the way the 79 column has that large diameter tube under the wheel and the big base where it hooks to the dash. Was wondering if I could use the shaft out of the 79 but the 68 housing for the sleeker and stock look.
I'd rather it look this way..
then like this..
just was hoping I could change the collar on it at the very least..or if I can change the whole inside over..
thanks Tony
if so i would find a buyer for the tilt column and buy a 68-72 actualy up to a 77 will work.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
