leaf spring bushings

Post by tonpartain »

I purchased a set of leaf spring bushings for a my '72 f100 from lmc and npd. The bushings from both companies, however, are too small for the flex-o-matic setup that I have. Anyone know of a better source?

I bought mine at a local spring shop. They pressed them in as well.

I got the polygraphite bushings from PST for mine.

Here's a link to the regular rubber bushings for the Flex-o-matic:

They seem to be switching over to a new website layout right now, and I can't seem to find a link to the polygraphite versions.

Keith,

If I go the polygraphite route, do I need anything from my old bushings?

Yes, you'll need to keep the steel outer shells. Just drill out or burn out the rubber and inner shells, leaving the outer shells in place. The polygraphite bushings will then get inserted into them.
