Springs what to do?

Post by Georgia71 »

Hello All,

I'm currently in the process of restoring my 71 F100. I have been advised to have my springs resprung or replaced. I intend to use my truck for hauling and towing things. Someone told me that the best thing would be to just buy new ones and do it right. What have been your experiences?

A friend of mine got his back springs rearched around ten years ago for 75.00 each. He said they painted them and inserted the bushings in them. No telling what it would cost today.

The cost is usually $150-$200 a set for the works on leaf springs. It's well worth it and a better option than new chinese springs.
