hello from central massachusetts
first, what a great website!
i've been lurking around here for quite a while. last month i finally bought a '71 highboy. not pristine, but exceptional condition for around these parts. i absolutely love it.
the truck is a bear right now. geared low. crappy mileage. manual steering. grabby brakes. whinning transmission. still i love it. not everyone understands....
this winter i want to upgrade the susp/drivetrain. been researching disc brake conversions, power steering upgrades, a 4bt conversion, etc. i want to make the beast more driveable/usable but keep the old truck patina. its easy to bite off more then you can chew!
i am automotively handy, recently built a racecar, but am new to the vintage truck thing and very much look forward to the challenges and adventure. this website is a godsend for me.
later,
kevin
