I'm fairly new from Texas.

Post by dolinick »

I found this site a several years ago after I bought my
'71 f-100. Almost three years ago my truck died
while I was driving from San Antonio to Houston.
Apparently it threw a rod and cracked the block.
I have been thinking about getting it fixed ever
since. A few months ago I asked my cousin if
he knew any good mechanic who could put an
engine in it for me. He told me he wanted to do it!
About two weeks ago I came back to fordification
while searching for an engine. Someone replied
to my post and said they had a good 360. I picked
it up last saturday. We should work on installing
it on the weekend of September 1st or the 8th.
This new engine is not stock such as my old engine
most likely was. It should have a heck of a lot more
power than the old engine and use a lot more gas.
I don't know if I'll be able to afford to drive it to work
everyday even though it's only 9 miles one way.
