alright, most of you know my currect troubles, so I will get to the details. It's been more than a pain to get everything seated together. Everyone says it shouldn't be this hard. So what's up? Pics of studs below. Are they wrong? I couldn't really take a pic of a new one because they are all pressed, but reguardless, you can somewhat tell. They all seem identical, new to old.
I still vote for a good cleaning! but then next idea is if one of the new studs is just a little crooked (not seated all the way) it might make the drum not fit over it!!!!!

if it comes down to it, i will. i tried that first though. tried pulling the through with the impact. it didnt work. had them pressed (and I wont say what I payed) and now this.....
I have to say if this was my problem the next post would be something like "I broke the drum and hub in 18 pieces by accident while beating the studs through the drum with my sledge".
Bang the new studs out and bang the old studs back in.
Is it possible you got some oversize studs? I'm pretty sure you can get oversize versions for boogered-up holes.

thing is i don't remember the hub looking like that on my 72 f100. i thought the front drum and hub where one and the same.

hell, Keith, at this point anything is possible. anyone understand why I want this thing GONE now? if not, come work on it for a couple hours.
I don't think I got oversized ones, I just asked for the ones that matched the stocks, I even took the stock one to them. Will go in the morning with an old one, and have them measure next to an old one. This is rediculous, it's not supposed to be THIS difficult. I'm honestly ready to just let it go to the scrap yard for whatever the metal is worth.

You know, I went to the parts store and they wanted 75 bucks for the drum. They said the hub was part of it, built in like. I ordered these from Rock Auto for somewhere a bit under half what the parts house wanted. No hub attached obviously. I figured that well, the hub came out of the ones ON the truck, it must be workable. Why pay more than double this, if this is just the same. Maybe I am wrong, have the complete wrong parts, and have wasted 100 dollars. If that's the case, I can't wait.
i,m pretty sure the originals where built in. but then you have the hubs on the truck now so if they came out of your olddrums, or are those new as well?
i think your hub and drum have some interferance at the base of the center of the hub.
