New to the Family

Post by turk54 »

Hi everyone, I had been looking for an older Ford for quite a while and I finally came across this unrestored gem. I am picking her up tomorrow. I heard about her from a friend of a friend of a friend (you get the picture) . The guy i'm getting it from is 75 years old, owned it since new, 38,000 original miles, stored in a heated garage never seen snow. I didn't believe it when I heard about it, but it is nicer than I ever could have imagined for a truck in northern Pennsylvania. I picked her up for $5500.

There is a ton of useful information around here and I look forward to spending alot of time here.

I had never heard of a "spray on vinyl roof" (that is what the seller called it), but I really like it. How common was this?

I'm located in NW PA, 30-40 minutues south of Lake Erie.

:hi: Hi neighbor.Greetings from da 'Burg.Nice truck

We got another member in Pa. :woohoo:

Spray on vinyl roof kits were popular when Ford was building bumps.A lot of cars had vinyl roofs at that time and someone came up with a way to spray it verses installing the real thing.
