and I don't know if I got everything I needed...

It is JUST the drum, and I could have sworn someone said the hub came off with the drum, as it was all one piece. Am I right, wrong? Need more parts? Got what I need???

If you got just the drum, with no hub (place for bearings, dust cap, lug studs, etc), then you got a rear drum. The front is much heavier and has a place for all the parts that hold it to the spindle.

its by far not a rear drum. way wider, and way heavier. Can I just buy the rest and attach it or what? There is a "hole" in the drum, but the rears had that as well. I also have lug bolt holes, dont believe they are tapped though....

Looks like you got the right part for drum brakes... Disc brakes its the hub and rotor all in one... The drum is held onto the front hub, the lug / studs are pressed into the drum so you have to get the studs pressed out and take the old drum off, then install the new drum on, and press "new studs" back through...
You do have to remove the whole hub / drum assembly to get it off the truck to do this...

Or you can CAREFULLY ream out the holes just enough so that the drum fits on all the way without needing to be pressed on. Be careful, it doesn't take much.

I say check it with the one on your truck, if its not right send it back.

The studs into the drum, they "studs" will also have a press into the hub...

I guess I will understand when I get in there and have it torn down haha. So i should pick up new studs, and new cotter pins for sure. The bearings looked good actually, so maybe thats one step down. May repack them though.

Yep, some places / people will reuse the old studs but it's a good idea to replace them...
I would get new hub seals also, and clean and repack the bearings while your there

where should I go to have them pressed? I will be sure to take PICTURES this time rather than go side by side as I need them all done at once!

You're right. I didn't realize the hub came out of the front drums. Learn something everyday I suppose.

any machine shop can do the pressing for the hub. some parts stores have machine shop service at thier place.

My 67 has the narrow front drums. When I redid the front braks I too had to pull the drum/hum of as one peice. However, to remove the drum from the hub I just threaded the old lug nuts back onto the removed assembly and just dropped it on a steel workbench a couple of times. The lug nuts were threaded on just enought to protect the tips of the studs. For reinstalation I just torqed the lugs down after putting every thing back on the truck.

Another way I have removed hubs was to use the lug nut trick and lay the drum on a work bench with lugs pointing up and placed some steel stock over all the nuts and a whack witha big old hammer. Of course I would never reuse those drums.
