Radius Arm safe?
I pulled a front end from a 79 pickup to replace the drum setup on my 67 pickup. As I am in the process of cleaning the rusty 79 front end I found what I consider to be possibly unsafe. Take a look at the photo of the radius arm bolt and see if you think it is unsafe. Has rust eaten to much of the bolt away to be safe? Will I have to get another front end or can I have these bolts replaced? Also will the radius arms from my 67 work? These radius arms were setup for the sway bar, so I was hoping to use them. I appreciate your input. Thanks.......

Mine looked the same way. I welded a little onto it and ground it to the right Diameter.
I would fix them, they don't look to bad.

If it was me, I'd look for a replacement. Granted, it could be saved with a bunch of work, but I'm all for piece of mind.

Thanks for the quick response. I now have another question. I noticed that one of the i-beams has a twist to it. When you lay the two side by side you can see that the donor truck may have hit something. Is is normal to have this? Sorry for all the questions, first time doing a project like this.......

Never mind...
When I lay them as them would go under the truck they look fine... After searching past post, I now realize that they each have their own number and will not both be identical.....
