Master cylender

Post by powdld »

I have a 1970 F-250. I want to put power brakes on it. Is the power master cylinder the same as a non power cylinder? Thanks

The non-power cylinder has the rod coming out the back that goes to the pedal directly. The power MC has a cup on the back that the rod from the booster pushes.

It's the same mc, just pull the rod out. When you buy a mc you have to put the rod in it for manual brakes or leave it out for power.
