steering colum

Post by import600 »

ok heres my situation, i've got a manual steer box on my truck, i just switched transmissions from a 3sp to a c6, well i swapped steering colums to a auto trans colum, from the three on the tree. the auto colum is about two inches too short to connect to the steer box. now i was hoping to avoid switching to power steer, i don't think its worth my effort, right now. is there a solution to this using the same colum?

ohh also the shifter linkage rubs with the column neck that comes out of the firewall. i added a picture to explain. any help would be appreciated.

I believe you have the column out of a later power steering truck! It shouldn't be to hard to find a steering column out of a manuel steering truck!
Good Luck!

You need the longer shaft. They are for the Maunal stearing boxes.
