Off to SoCal from GA with my New (to me anyway) 69 F100 SWB
I picked this up over the weekend. It is like the holy grail of old trucks. It has been in a barn for 5 1/2 years.
Body is solid, never been wrecked, all original numbers, good glass all around, bed is solid, tailgate functions, the works.
It has the 240ci Inline 6, that I will be keeping.
It is destined for my daughter, who just turned 15, and suffers from the old Ford bug like I do.
It is going to go back to black, like it was from the factory. I will have the bumbers chromed, and install a billet grill and good headlights. Add a hard cover to the bed so she can lock her surfboards in the back, and stick some nice rims on it.
I almost forgot the best part.....I paid $700.00 for it.

Welcome! Sweet deal you got there! You'll love this site... I've learned more here than anywhere else. Check out some of the tech articles, they are really helpful. Where in SoCal are you located?

FrankOllis,
Welocme! Man that is one sweet truck. I love those white spoked wheels. Black will be awesome on there.
Man, your daughter is A-OKAY! Mine is 17 and likes them too. That is good stuff.
This place is full of great information and great folks as well. Pull up a chair and set awhile.

Bigg Dogg,
I am a Marine, headed "home" to Camp Pendleton in Northern San Diego county. I live in Vista.
By the way, I know this is the wrong site, but.....
This is MY baby. 1974 E-100 240ci I6 Van. I am a youth wrestling coach, and I was looking for a trailer to haul my mats around. Those suckers are expensive! So I was rolling through the flea market (thats a swap meet to you West Coasters), and some old man was selling it. It had been painted with house paint, tan of all colors, but the body is really solid. It runs like a sewing machine though. A little time with my wire wheel, actually 4 days, and 9 cans of primer later, here she is! The rims ain't rims, they are a $20.00 set of Wal-Mart wheel covers.

Awesome van, but the hub caps kind of,...well...they look pretty bad. Sorry.
It really is a sweet looking van, though. I would love to have a cargo (windowless) version of that some day.
