Extreme Tire Wobble

I recently changed out my wheels and tires. I had 31 x 10.50 on and replaced them with 235/75 R15. At about 35 MPH I get an extreme wobble that appears to come from the front. So yesterday I went and balanced the new wheels/tires. I have the wobble, it seems a little better. Any ideas? Thanks

- these are original(I think) 15" wheels off a 68 F-100 and new BF Goodrich tires.
- with the 31 x 10.50 and wagon wheels I never felt a wobble.

I would think if you got the tire indexed and rebalanced it would fix this problem. and if not ask them to replaced it. or put it on the back right.

Well bad news. I put the old tires and wheels back on and I still have the wobble.

Either they are way off balance, or the rims are bent. But you say they were balanced. I had tubes in my split rims and I had the "death wobble" at 45 mph. I got new rims and tubeless tires and they are fine now and I didn't even get them balanced. They were too big for the balancer. I think it is the rims.

If you've got a wobble with both sets of wheels/tires, it's likely a wheel bearing loose or worn out, or it may be a tie rod gone bad as well.

Lift the front of the truck, and try pushing and pulling on the top of the tire/wheel. Push in towards the engine, and pull out towards yourself, to check the wheel bearings, and inspect the tie rods. THey should be tight and not have any flex in them without moving the entire suspension.

You still got your death wobble? Assuming you're talking about your 4×4, is your front axle king pin or ball joint?

I might have found the problem. Track bar bushings are bad. Especially the passenger side. The pasenger side looks like it is a pain to get out. Already got the driver side out. I cannot get a wrench back there. Crows foot is nit working. Tried to put screwdriver in there and that is not working. Might have to put a tackweld on it, just to hold it so I can get the nut off.
