Truck bed lenghth, and tonneau covers?

Post by Helldiver »

Alright, this has probley been discussed before but I am still unsure :hmm:

I'm looking for a tonneau cover for my 69 f-100 with a short bed.
I called Extang and Lund who both said they did not make anything that would fit these years of truck, but they do have covers for 73-79 fords; would they work?

I then tried Tekstyle and found one part # 23368-022 but it looks like it has snap and was hoping for one with out.

I measured the bed and came up with 76.75 L * 65.25 W, none of the 3 places would compare measurements

Can someone with a 73-79 sb check theirs and post back? Thanks!
I can take it apart, but getting it back together is another story!

You might try Checker Products they will tailer make covers for any truck.
They have hard and soft covers. You see a lot of their hard covers around here, and every body I've talked to like them. I have stopped there a few times and they are some good people to deal with. Here is a link to their site.

Yes it has a black aluminum frame that clamps to the bed and the cover snaps to it. There are no holes to bedriiled in to youre truck in 99% of applications and that 1% is usually stepsides with no bed lip. It is a very nice cover best soft cover we have ever sold (we have sold most of them). It can alos be orderd in some colors it does add to the cost (30 dollars or so). I can sell you a black for $186 plus shipping, olor 213 plus shipping. They also offer a hinged version but it's $286 for black.
