new guy... new to ford. :-) (***pics inside***)
Hows it going all, i'm a new one here. I just bought a 1972 f100, lwb, straight body, fresh paint about 2 years ago, running 302, auto trans.
I never really been a fan of ford. I was raised on chevy, and work at a dodge dealership as a mechanic. I own an 81 lwb chevy custom deluxe, recently took out the l6 and dropped in a 350. Lowering springs up front, 2 inch drop shackles out rear with one leaf removed ( good for about a 3/5 drop). That thing has been my baby since i was 16. I'm only 21 right now, but anyways. My daily driver is a 2005 dodge neon, great on gas and insurance.
Anyhow, back to the ford. Its a 72, long bed. Very nice condition. I was going through the truck (had a hard time getting the glove box open) and found the original owners manual and maintence log. I laughed at that.
Well, friday i was going to eat dinner at my mother in laws house and saw the truck with a for sale sign on it. Called him saturday, and picked it up sunday. Paid $1500, i couldnt pass it up.
well, now i'm rambling... Just thought i'd say hello

Hello from Wisconsin....
Welcome, we forgive you in advance for swearing. If you must say it, spell it like this (C#$%Y), that way it doesn't scare the children.
Seroiusly though, you found the right group for your bump.
Ask anything you want, someone will have the answer.
Oh yeah, we like pics.... alot.

CA180,
Welcome to the forums and the site. There is a lot of information here for these trucks.
Thanks for buying it, these trucks are awesome (I am slightly biased) but you will notice along the way that most of us have "other" trucks that are daily drivers and such.
Anyways, welcome again and enjoy. We are glad your here.
