brake booster with manual transmission

Post by markk »

I am trying to install a brake booster from a 78 - 79 Bronco on my 72 F100 and am having trouble with the bracket under the dash. The existing bracket appears to be one piece that holds the brake pedal and clutch pedal. Can I use the existing bracket and the existing brake pedal or do I have to use the bracket from the power booster and pedal? The rod from the power booster is too short. Do I need to lenghten it? If so, what is the best way to make it longer?

both of the brackets have six bolt holes going through the firewall. but i think the pedal does need to swap out to get the length correct. but i'm not sure. or it could be that you don't have the adjustable rod and thats what your missing. the rod just unscrews to make it longer i think.
