Post by widegauge »

well hello all, it has been a long time since I worked on the truck but I am back. and today I thought that I would check the electrical wiring...so I looked everything over and put a brand new battery on it and..............nothing....not even a spark................totaly dead. so back to square one..tomorrow I am going to chase down all the grounds and look for anything that I missed..............man I hate wiring!!!!

i did this, make sure your battery cables are on the right posts. also check your relay, can you jump the sylonoid, do you have spark at the plugs.

is the battery charged. put it on a trickle charger and let it charge over night. then try it. make sure you wires are on the correct posts

Where in FL. Pretty humid there. Make sure all your connections are
clean and tight. If you put a light coat of grease on them it will keep
the air/moisture out a little better. Good luck, KeithP

:yt: Make sure there isn't any corrosion on the terminals. I've had minimal corrosion and have had trouble. A little vaseline on the terminals will keep them clean. Toe see if that is in fact your problem, just loosen the cables and twist them back and forth and them try turning it over. Hope this helps. :D

check the neutral safety switch. It won't do anything till that is positioned right. I used to have to hold it in place while I started it. no one could use it but me....
