As for which one is best, there's no answer to that....it's like asking what camshaft is best for your engine. To properly choose a converter, many variables come into play, such as engine size and mods made to it, transmission type, rearend ratio, primary use of vehicle (cruising/towing/racing).

Yes there is. I would not use a B&M or a TCI. I have known to many people on other forums that had problems with them. I would go with a HUGHES or along thoes lines. Not all TQ Converters are equal! Sorry Keith I didnt meen to step on your toes here......

B&M converters are ok for things like RV stall converters where you want the higher flash for towing etc. I have a holeshot 3000 that is behind my 455 olds and it takes a good thrashing but for big HP engines there are many better converters such as coan, neil chance, ATI, hughes etc but if getting one, always call their tech line and they can better advise you . If your going to spend 500 plus dollars get the right one for your combo

The Neil Chance convertors are the best for drag racing. They hold the world record. And just so happens the Neil part of the Neil Chance is my Brothers Father in law. He is from Snellville, Ga. Builds the best chevy automatics in the business. I just wish he built FOrd tranny's but no such luck.
