parts truck question

Post by 72Lift »

So over the weekend I started having trouble with the manual choke. I want to change over to a electronic choke. What is the best year for me to pull from? I went shopping for a couple of part trucks. Yet unsure of the the best intrechangable years? Can I pull from any later model Fords?

:hmm:

What carb you got? The stock Motorcraft 2bbl? I believe they are all the same. You should get the whole carb if possable.

How come you are having trouble with the manual? No offence, but operator error is the only issue they usually have. Unless the cable is trash.

WELCOME 72LIFT, I second what Heep70 said, Try and get the whole carb. if possible. If your manual is not working, check and see that the cable moves the choke. It may be out of adjustment or just loose. Never saw a manual that was hooked up and adjusted not work.
