disgusting doors

Post by 71 LONG BED »

My doors have this greesy substance oozing out from the bottom. When I had my door panels off I saw inside. What a sight!! I guess the PO sealed the inside of the doors to keep it from rusting. It did the job but now how do I clean this dag gome stuff out?

I'd wipe out what I could and then get the B-52 after it. B-52 is a super strong degreaser/cleaner. I use it on everything. It is dilutable, so you can use it just about anywhere. I even use it in my car wash soap and it leaves my truck shining like a new penny. Use it straight on tough grease, or dilute it for jobs like glass cleaning, etc. We have got rid of just about all of or other cleaning supplies and now just use the B-52. We get it at the auto parts store in a 5 gallon jug so it is also inexpensive. And yes it is the miracle cleaner!

for sealing the doors up to prevent rust i'd just go with some rhino or por 15 after you get it cleaned.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Hey Lazyj, at what parts store are you getting the B-52. I checked Autozone, Checkers and Ace - no luck. Maybe it's regional?

Well, now I'm on a quest and am determined to find the damn B-52! It seems to be pretty obscure. The only place that I've been able to find it is http://www.vansenusauto.com and they're in Indiana. Still too far to drive as I was thinking more of down the block rather than across the country. The quest continues...

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to order a gallon now but their site is down (at the point of "submit"). I'll give it a try tomorrow.
