Wheel and tire size questions
I have purchased an orange 72 f100 SWB Ranger XLT now. I want to go with a set of wheels and tires to hide the narrow rear axle problem our trucks have. I need to know the maximum backspacing that can be used on these trucks on the rear to keep from hitting the inside of the fender-well. Also what rim sizes and tire sizes look good and do not rub. I also would appreciate input on what wheel styles you guys recommend. Pictures would be great if anyone has any. A friend recommended 15x10 smoothies with 275/60's on the back with a 4" backspacing and 15x7's with a 235/70 tire on front. I am open to any suggestions.

re: Wheel and tire size questions
I used steel spoke rims, nothing fancy just 15*8s, along with 15 inch 33 tall 16.5 inch tread width BF Goodrich All Terrain tires when they were experimental on a 68 SWB F-100 without hitting except when landing from a real high jump. They cleared the truck until I would land and compress the axle bumpers in the rear.
I got the tires from the factory for testing and they let me keep them. Nice guys.
The front is different If I put P235/15 70s on my 69 it rubs the radius arm in a tight turn.
I don't like off set rims for what it does to the bearings so I have never tried them. I go with what fits under the body.

re: Wheel and tire size questions
I , just yesterday, received my 15x6 (front) and 15x10 (rear) wheels from Wheel Vintique. Took them to the powder coater last night and they should be ready tomorrow. Ordered 295/50's for the rear. I'll let you know of any clearance issues when I mount them. Where are you in Virginia?

I'm sorry but I don't have pictures either but I have 15x7s on the front with BFG 255/70 on the front and 15x8 on the rear with BFG 285/70 on the rear with no clearance issues and they fill up the fenderwells really nice.
