ok i have a72 f100 2wd with a standard trans in floor shift (aftermarket). it came out with manual steering i beleive the stock steering colum is to long and dosent meet properly with the ps gear box (wrong angle )?! to correct this problem can i use a automatic colum and front support bracket for the colum from a truck with ps????????? (70 model donor f100 2wd ps auto)

or driverside front cab mount is rusted out? letting the column angle away from steering box Thanks Kevin

:yt: that is a common problem. and it can eat at your column shaft if not fixed.

I think mine is doing that now as i can move the wheel and blinker switch all by jiggling the shifter.

I was hoping to go another 6-7 months withou having to chang em out.

the cab mounts are rusted out and need to be replaced god i hate those darn things

i wonder if you could mask off the spots that get spot welded to the vehicle and then hit it with a sufficient amount of Por-15?

Then paint the unpainted part after installation?
