has anyone ever put a seal kit in their steering sector? mine is a power unit form a '76 f100 (I believe). it looks like the lower seal next to the pitman arm is leaking. where do you check/ fill the oil level???? this box is the best thing I have ever done to my truck, and I do NOT want to end up putting the manual box back on it. Also, where does a guy get replacement hard parts for one (worm gear, sector gear)? BTW my box is the saginaw model.
Thanks
Scott

Fluid fill is done at the pump, which should be on the drivers side of the engine.
As for rebuild parts, start with the "Links and Resources" link at the top of the page, and try looking around at the first few links. They are some of the bigger provider of parts for these trucks.
I DO know that Obsolete and Classic Auto parts carrys the bearings and seals, but I don't see the worm gear for anything past 1970.

so there isn't a gear oil that goes in separately from the power steering fluid?

you could get the seal kit from napa, or just get a saginaw box that is already rebuilt, most likely new gears, from napa aswell for about $160
When the going gets tough, your doing something right.
