Correct air cleaner for 1970 F-250 w/ 360 FE

Post by timachone »

Hi guys,

could anybody provide pictures of a correct air cleaner for the 1970 F-250 with a 360 FE?

I have a feeling that I have not the correct one... It has a closed PCV inlet bow in the front and a clip in the left side where the PCV hose routes now. In the back there is a quadratic hole of something but the something is not there. The snorkel seems like a right one. Could this be an air cleaner from another ford car?

Thank you,

Tim

A picture might help, what is a quadratic hole? 70 can be a bit of an oddball too.

MAK,

thanks for the hint. Nice sample of a low mile truck

It seems I have a wrong one on the carb. Perhaps a 68/69 air cleaner from a passenger car...

Could anybody confirm if there are any other lines to or from the air cleaner other than the pcv-valve tube? Some vacuum lines for example to a temp control switch? Or did they have a fuel carbon canister outlet? In the pictures of the mentioned truck it seems that there is a hole closed on the left...

Could anybody provide a production ID of the snorkel to identify the correct one?

Thanks,

Tim
