Moving front wheels forward
Working on a 1968 Mercury. Have any of you with the same era truck moved the front wheels forward? If so how much? Pictures of before and after would be nice ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Not really sure why you would even want to do this but..."Coyote50"]Working on a 1968 Mercury. Have any of you with the same era truck moved the front wheels forward? If so how much? Pictures of before and after would be nice
Your talking about relocating I-beam brackets / relocating radius arm brackets / changing the steering arm geometry / relocating spring mounts to the amount of a lot...of work! Not even considering if the front crossmember would allow moving all of the above.
Been working on these trucks for over 40 years and never seen it done-not to say it can't be done-but you'd have your work cut out that's for sure.
