Re: 1967 mercury m-100 352 auto
Are you in Canada? I'm in Alberta and am also working on a '67 Mercury M100. It is a 352, 4 speed 4X4. This one is all red and with the Ranger package. No power steering but am looking at an electric upgrade for the steering. The 352 was the only optional V8 offered by Ford that year and they were painted gold color. And don't let anyone tell you different! Ford started painting their truck engines blue in 1968 when the 352 was dropped and the 360 was introduced and also a 390 optional engine was available. Ford ceased production of Mercury trucks in March of 1968 so yes they are getting rare. The Mercury brand started in January 1946 and our family has owned a few. I still have a M350 dually one ton custom cab, 292 Y block 4 speed and a 1949 M155 3 ton "wide axle" 239 flathead V8, 4 speed, 2 speed rear axle. Both of these trucks are for sale if anyone is interested. Good luck with your project, keep us informed and we will help you along.

Welcome from Michigan! I've never seen a mercury in person so I'll be watching. It's pretty neat having a few mercs in this forum. Good luck and god speed!

I had an older motor in my 72. It had the 352 and the block was black. The only gold was on the valve covers. I ended up painting it all gray. You never know if someone just repainted it. I believe mine was stamped 352 on the front of the block by the water pump.

Re: 1967 mercury m-100 352 auto
All of the FE blocks have the 352 cast into them, whether they are really 352, 360, or 390. They all use the same block, just different bore and stroke.d7savage wrote:i have the 352 stamp, also i checked the autolite carb, it was for a 352. i try to add photos, but the system says they are too large what can i do? or didnt do?
For posting photos, I load them onto my PC, then use some photo-editing software to lower the resolution. If I really need the detail, then I'll crop it. I've posted videos to YouTube, then posted a link here.
Don't know about the Mercury line, but '67 was the last year that Ford used the 352 in a truck in the States. I also don't remember the year they switched, but older engines were a dark blue, and newer engines were a lighter blue. Mine should be dark, but VHT either had the cans mislabeled, or their color team is color blind, so mine is the lighter blue. I suppose that's okay, because I actually prefer the lighter blue color.
Oh, and welcome from SoCal!

oh i think i made this happen. please let me know if you can see the pictures! as you can see block is blue, but im unsure of the lighter and darker blue.... and where my color fits... there is not one difference between this and a ford of a same vintage, besides the mercury tailgate and hood lettering and side badge. the curious thing is the weird tag on the firewall. all numbers match of course....but i think this truck was made somewhere in the usa then shipped to Canada, rebadged and sold here.not canadian made. if i read it right it was made in Chicago..... check the images and lemme know what you guys think.

Re: 1967 mercury m-100 352 auto
What I got from the VIN:
F10YCA28073 (the frame stamp looked like a 'G', and the VIN plate looked like a 'C'; since a 'G' is not valid, I figured it has to be a 'C').
And using the VIN decoder here:
http://www.fordification.com/tech/VIN67.htm
F10 = F100
Y= 352
C = Ontario, Canada
A28073 = October, 1966 build date
Also, your VIN plate says "Made in Canada". Looks like your truck is a legit Mercury, not a rebadged Ford.
