new to the site, from Ohio

Post by kennycoulter »

I was already on the fixem your way, plus 2 other 67-72 F-100 pages on facebook, but decided to delete my account. I still needed to get information, and remembered people talking about this site.

Some people MAY recognize my name.

I live in Eastern Ohio, about 40 minutes from Pittsburgh.

My vehicle is a 1971 long bed with a 429/C6 swap. It is very far from nice due to our bad winters.

I am hoping to find some decent body parts (especially a cab and hood) for a good price.

Welcome from a fellow new member in Washington state. Don't you hate salt? Why is it that they don't just use plows except in the west? They now put down calcium chloride on our roads, which they never used to do. They pretend that it isn't corrosive, but the facts don't back that up. Good luck on the search for body parts. It seems like going south for rust free parts would be the way to go.

I hear ya about the rust - owned 8 Rangers and all but one got drove in the winters here and all I did was patch floorboards, cab mounts, and transmission cross members......... :cuss: check out the ads at the bottom of the forums and there should be plenty of help there finding parts - you can't go wrong with anything from the western states that spent its whole life there. My 68 came from Idaho and it is almost as solid as new...... :D

:wel: from Erie, PA! If there's anything else you're needing, just let me know. At the moment I have a spare hood, but am currently trying to keep it for just in case purposes. I have a bunch of other misc. parts, so keep me in mind. Glad to see I'm not the only one that has Facebook and uses this Forum!
