What to do w/ a free 75 F600????
Ok guys. I have a 75 F600 that I can pull anything I want off of it. I think the radiator support will swap over per Keith's info. I know the doors will work on 73-79 trucks. The cab will work too, but the floor hump is a little different. Is the hood the same as 73-79? It has a 370 2V and clark 5 speed so I might take all that too. I already pulled the instrument cluster. Any other ideas? I guess the doors, hood, and radiator support are the good parts for regular 73-79 guys. Anything special to look for?
thanks

Howdy,
Yes, I was trying to make a 4 door SUV, but not out of that thing. It is huge. I'm trying to build something for my wife. Plus, I don't have a title and it doesn't have four doors.
I was just wondering if there was anything special I should look out for.
I'm going to take the seat, doors, hood, radiator surround, inner fenders, and the drivetrain.

Since the cab and radiator support will bolt up to a light-duty truck chassis, I always thought it would be cool to do that....you know, build a 1/2-ton F600, just for the heck of it. Think of the wide freakin' tires you could put under the front end and still have them completely covered by fenders!

Well, technically you'd have to use a light-duty cab with the F600 front sheetmetal. The cab IS different. The dash isn't cut out for the steering column like it is on our light-duty trucks....the F600 column goes UNDER the dash.

What would you do w/ the back keith. Here you have a F100 w/ huge front fenders and 15" wide wheels. Would you get some sort of dually flares for the rear?
I think I saw somewhere were guys were taking modern F600s and putting F350 beds on them and using them as "bling bling" trucks.

Here is a pick of a similar engine bay. Is this the kind of air filter you are looking for?

I will have to take a look at the thermostat housing.
The radiator support is perfect and untouched.
You can actually see the truck in the background of one of the pics in my gallery. The pic is of my 68 short bed that I bought for $200, but have yet to even start working on yet. The big F600 in the back ground is what I'm talking about.

Are you sure the core support is the same? It just seems the whole grille and all is bigger.
