Hi guys.
So I read previous posts about car covers for our trucks. There are some questions I couldn't find the answers to:
My truck has giant Western Mirrors. Is there a cover that fits over these? Or do I have to cut and reinforce slots in the cover for the mirrors to poke through? I would figure that might compromise the waterproof qualities of the cover.
When it rains, what stops the bed becoming a swimming pool with the weight of the water pushing down inside the bed and the cover becoming a pool liner?
Anyone have any other tips on what to buy as a car cover / truck cover?
Thanks. Patrick

Re: Truck cover - western mirrors, water in bed
CoverCraft makes custom covers...and that'll address the "elephant ears" created by the Western mirrors. Alternatively, modify a standard cover by sewing in large pockets to account for the mirrors. They'll prolly sell extra material if you want to DIY it.
Covers are supposed to breath and not act like a tarp as to pool water. If you do need to tarp the truck, there are bed stands prop up the cover like a tent over the bed so that rain and snow will shed.
Another alternative, and maybe less expensive, is just to cover the cab. Here is an example from CoverCraft... a "cab cooler":
And another alternative from CoverCraft Industries;

Thanks HIO. I for sure want to cover the whole truck, bed and all. I will try and find the bed stands. Patrick
